I am the type of girl who loves her makeup. I like seeing the new products and finding colors that work with me and my skin tone. I love experimenting with new looks and tends. Whenever I do go makeup shopping, though, I always make sure to buy cruelty free makeup. Cruelty free makeup means makeup that was not tested on any animals in any shape or form.
The Truth Behind Makeup
I know that when I am at the store my money counts as my vote for what I want to see in the market and according to PETA, 100 million animals suffer and die in the U.S. every year because of animal testing. That is just in the U.S too, this is not counting the rest of the worlds beauty industries. I, personally, cannot support anything that hurts or kills animals and every time someone spends my their hard earned money on animal tested products people are saying that they want animal tested products. It is very easy for people to change their vote on products. When I started researching animal testing and cruelty free I knew that I had to change where I spend my money. If everyone started buying more cruelty free brands, the brands that test on animals are going to have to change to what us consumers want. When out shopping one of the easiest way when you shopping to by cruelty free is too look for the Bunny Logo.
Cruelty Free Brands
I know when I first decided to go cruelty free I was afraid that I wasn’t going to be able to find good quality makeup and that the options I would have would be very minimum. I was happy to find out that there are so many cruelty free brands out there for people to buy. Some of my favorite brands are Too Face, Kat Von D Beauty, and Tarte. All of these brands are higher end makeup and have a wide range of foundations, mascara, eyeshadow and more. They are easily found out Sephora and Ulta which makes shopping easier! There are also many more affordable brands out there too that are cruelty free. My top two affordable brands are E.L.F and NYX. These two brands are amazing that you can find out realtors like Target, Walmart, and many many more. E.L.F and NYX are amazing quality for affordable brands. They have a wide range of makeup and tools that are perfect for any makeup lover. In my collections I always make sure to have a selection of both the higher ends and the affordable brands to make my perfect look.
