It doesn’t matter if you are running your own business or just creating a website to host your blog, website design is crucial. With so thousands of website out there in the same field, your business is or topic you blog discuss you need to make sure your stand out about your competitors.

And creating a website is not easy. It takes time and skill to be able to convey the message you want your brand to get across. A professional website should not be cluttered making readers and customers confused. But there are other traits that can make your website stand out and make people keep coming back. Keep reading to discover five important factors every website should have.

5 Loadability

Something that many people do not think of when it comes to website design is loadability. Loadability is how fast a website will load from when a person types or clicks to go to the site. If a website takes to long to load every time a guest wants to get to a site they are going to get frustrated and go elsewhere for their needs.

Some things that can make loadability take longer are image-heavy websites. So look at your website and see what images are necessary on each page. And if you have any filler images or images that take a long time to load by themselves you need to rethink your design.

4 Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of getting viewed when people are making a search. SEO is a necessary tool that needs to be used when creating a website to help gain organic views on a site.

SEO needs to be implemented on each page of a website to help with search rankings. SEO can be done by what each page content has, the URL dedicated to the page, and what description you are adding about the page.

3 Content

The content you put on a website can make or break its success. Everything you add to your site needs to make sense on why it’s there. Images need to clear to gust to be able to see what they are. It doesn’t matter if it is an image embedded on the site, a product picture, or pictures of the team the quality can decide if someone is going to buy your product/use your service.

Additionally, the blog posts you put on your site need to enhance your brand. Post needs to be relevant to your industry and provide a purpose to your guest. The blog content can be to explain products/features, talk about industry news, or discuss the importance of your product. But these posts need to be done professionally with SEO in mind.

2 Has A Clear Purpose

Every website needs to have a clear purpose. Some websites are for companies for people to buy their products, some offer services, and others are personal blogs to help people feel connected. No matter why a person created a website, it needs to have a clear purpose for guests.

The purpose of the site needs to be able to have guests figure it out in a matter of seconds of them arriving on the site. If a site’s purpose is not clear then it can confuse visitors and have them leave your site lowering your sales of total website views.

1 Easy To Navigate

If someone clicked on your website it’s because you have something they need. This could be a product they want, a service they need, or tips and advice they want to learn. Making it easy for guests to navigate your website is one of the most important things you need to do when designing a site. If guests cannot find what they are looking for they are going to leave your site and end up going to one of your competitors instead. This is why having a clear menu for people to look at can help keep people on your site and keep visiting.

But being able to navigate on a computer is not enough nowadays. Now, all websites should be mobile friendly so people can use their tablets and smartphones to get the information/product they need from you. Make sure that you take time to switch to mobile viewing when creating a site to make sure everything is functioning there too!
