Creamy Vegan Alfredo Sauce

I love pasta, and for me, it doesn’t matter what kind of pasta it is. It could be bowties, shells, penne or spaghetti- I will eat it all with any kind of sauce to go on top.

But once I went vegan I only used red sauce for my pasta, because it was the easiest thing to do. One night I was tired of the red sauce I was used to having and was really craving alfredo sauce to go with my meal. I looked to see what I had in the fridge to see what I can use to make the alfredo sauce. And there it was- a block of silken tofu, so I took that with some herbs and made a simply creaming vegan alfredo sauce.

Here is a simple recipe to use to create a rich creamy vegan alfredo sauce:

The sauce after its been blended up.

Ingredients:

1 Block of 16 oz silken tofu

2 tsp of minced garlic

1 tsp of dry basil

¼ cup of nutritional yeast

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high for 2 minutes.

Places mixture in a saucepan to heat up with your favorite pasta
